The Uppsala Law Student Association is the student union for those who are studying at the law faculty at Uppsala University, and is a non-partisan and religious neutral association. The union conducts education-related and social activities as well as establishing contact with employers. The activities is conducted from our house Jontes stuga, located at Övre Slottsgatan 3.
EDUCATION-RELATED ACTIVITES
JF is responsible for all education-related activities and advocacy at the Faculty of Law and represents all of the students and PhD students at the Faculty. Thus it is us you are supposed to contact if you are experiencing problems with your education, have been treated badly by the University or have questions or ideas regarding subjects you believe we should work with.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
We are working towards the goal that our students should have the best time in Uppsala as possible. Therefore we, for example, host initiation weeks, gaques, balls, sport activities and pub nights as well publishing our own paper. At Jontes stuga you can visit our daily café where you can buy cheap course literatur, take a coffee, heat your lunch or study.
CONTACT WITH EMPLOYERS
JF is working for binding the different players at the market together with the students. We have continuous cooperation with a handful of partners and host, for example, lectures and meetings with different companies, authorities and law firms. Each autumn Kontaktdagen, the Career Fair for law students in Uppsala, is conducted.
